Robert E. Fogal is the Associate Vice President of Advancement at American University and bring almost 30 years of experience as a philanthropy professional, including a former directorship at The Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy. Senior Development positions include: the Theological Seminary of the UCC, Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services, Lutheran Social Services, and St. Mary’s Duluth Clinic Health System. Bob has led seminars and workshops for more than 100 professional, religious and community organizations. He has served on multiple human service, cultural, and community foundation boards, including various positions on local and international AFP and CFRE boards. Intercultural on-site fundraising experience includes the Dominican Republic and South Africa. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, a Master’s Degree of Sacred Music and a Master’s of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Folklore and Ethnomusicology.
